How to Clean the Outside of a Stainless Steel Deep Fryer

If you use your stainless steel deep fryer on a regular basis, the outside is bound to collect oil spatters and other dirt. Cleaning it is not difficult, but it is necessary to educate yourself on what types of cleaners are safe for stainless steel as it can easily be scratched with any abrasive products.

      Turn off the fryer and let it cool completely.

      Find the direction of the grain in the stainless steel. When you inspect it closely, you should be able to see faint lines going in one direction. This is the grain.

      Wipe the deep fryer in the direction of the grain with a soft, damp cloth.

      Rub any large, greasy areas with a dab of liquid dish detergent in the direction of the grain if needed.

      Wipe any remaining detergent and grease away with a clean, damp cloth.
