The Enviro stove burns wood pellets and other natural materials, helping you keep your family warm while saving money. The efficiency and safety of the Enviro stove is strongly influenced by the type of care and maintenance it receives. Pettet-burning stoves require regular maintenance also to ensure safe operation.

Instructions

    • 1

Shut down the Enviro stove, and wait for it to cool down. You must wait until the stove is cold before cleaning any part of the stove.

    • 2

Open the door to the stove, and lift the liner from the burn pot. Gently lift up the front of the burn pot, then slide the assembly free of the air intake tube and the igniter cartridge.

    • 3

Remove any material that has accumulated in the burn pot by scraping it with a metal scraper. Dispose of the ashes scraped out of the burn pot, then place the burn pot and liner back in the Enviro stove. For best results, perform liner and burn pot maintenance every two to three days.

    • 4

Clean the glass only when it becomes dirty or it is difficult to see inside the Enviro stove. Wipe the inside and outside of the glass with a soft cloth. If the residue is too thick to remove with the cloth alone, use a glass cleaner for gas appliances.

    • 5

Remove the ash pan located directly under the ash shelf. With a large flat head screwdriver, loosen the pan then pull it straight toward you to remove. Empty the ash pan into a container that is stored away from any combustion source. Place the pan back inside the stove. Clean the ash pan once a week.

    • 6

Locate the heat exchanger tubes by looking for the rod in the center of the stove just above the door. Pull out the handle, then clean away any ash that has accumulated there. Clean the heat exchanger tubes once a week.
