Cleaning Ceramic Oven Top Burners

One of the benefits of a ceramic-topped stove is the lack of nooks and crannies found on traditional stoves. Unlike a traditional stove, there's nowhere for food and liquids to collect other than on the flat surface. While a ceramic-topped stove is infinitely easier to clean for this reason, it's still important to give your oven-top burners the care they need on a regular basis.

Instructions

    • 1

Allow the cooking surface of your stove to cool completely before you clean it. Cleaning it while hot can damage the stove top and cause painful burns.

    • 2

Place a quarter-sized drop of ceramic stove-cleaning product on the cooking surface. These products are made to help you remove stains easily without damaging the delicate cooking surface.

    • 3

Use a clean, dry paper towel and rub the cleaner on the stove top in a circular motion. Continue until the surface is clean, adding additional cleanser if necessary. Buff the surface with a new paper towel until it shines.
