How to Get Out Marks on a Ceramic Cooktop

If you enjoy cooking, you probably know that pots and pans can easily spatter or overflow onto your stove. You can remove these from your ceramic cooktop fairly easily, but it will require a few special tools. It is important to educate yourself on what products you can and cannot use on your ceramic cooktop, as some common cleaning products can cause damage.

  • Non-abrasive sponge

Instructions

  1. Removing Light to Moderate Soil

      Allow the stove to cool.

      Sprinkle a few drops of a cooktop cleaning cream on the cooktop.

      Wipe the cooktop with a non-abrasive sponge.

    Removing Heavy Soil or White Marks

      Allow the stove to cool.

      Apply a few drops of a cooktop cleaning cream directly to the soiled area or mark. Let it sit for a few minutes.

      Scrub the stain using a non-abrasive sponge until the soil is removed.

    Removing Burnt-On Stains or Marks From Metal

      Turn all burners off.

      Put on oven mitts to protect your hands from heat.

      Scrape as much of the burnt food or mark off as possible using a metal spatula while the cooktop is still warm. Let the stove cool.
