Hiding Scratches on Titanium Refrigerators

Stainless steel appliances represent clean lines, uniformity and modernity in a kitchen. Unfortunately, stainless appliances come at a price. Titanium-finished appliances offer the same look and feel of stainless steel, at a much more affordable price. While not prone to it, the titanium may display fingerprints and scratch easier than its steel counterpart. If your refrigerator has suffered some damage, you can easily hide and -- almost -- remove them.

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the damaged area with liquid dish soap. Wipe dry.

    • 2

Apply stainless steel polish using a soft cloth. Gently rub the polish into the scratches in circular motions.

    • 3

Wipe away excess polish with liquid dish soap. Wipe dry.

    • 4

Sand the scratches gently with a damp, 600-grit piece of sandpaper. Once sanded, the scratches, while not necessarily completely gone, will not be visible from a distance of 6 inches or more from the surface of the titanium refrigerator.
