My Eureka Easy Clean Vacuum is Not Recharging

Outlet

• Unplug the charger from the outlet. Move the vacuum and charger to another outlet. Place the charger connection to the vacuum’s charger inlet firmly and plug the charger into the different electrical outlet. Eureka suggests charging the vacuum on a 120-volt outlet for proper charging. If the charge light illuminates, the vacuum is charging.

Charger Connection

• The inlet connection may become dirty with each use of the vacuum. Check the charge inlet on the back of the vacuum to ensure its free from dust and debris. Do not use any cleaning solution or water on the inlet. Simply use a dry, cotton swap in the outlet to remove any dust or debris. After cleaning the inlet, plug the vacuum back into the charger too see if the charge light illuminates.

Vacuum

• Although the Easy Clean vacuum is small for quick and easy cleaning, it requires standard maintenance to avoid operational problems. Ensure the dust cup, which collects dirt, is emptied after each use. Wash the dust cup in mild detergent and water periodically. Allow the dust cup to dry before placing it back in the vacuum. Check the brush roll and remove any threads or hair from the brush roll. If the vacuum is not maintained, the battery will wear down quickly causing it not to maintain a charge.

Replacement

• If the charger is still not working, the battery pack or charger should be replaced. The Easy Clean vacuum has a one-year limited warranty. If the vacuum is less than one year old, the parts can be replaced at no charge, based on Eureka’s conditions related to the warranty. Eureka sells the replacement battery pack and charger. The charger’s part number is 70674 and the battery pack’s part number is 61223. Order parts through Eureka’s customer service center.
