How to Get Scratches Out of a Whirlpool Refrigerator

Whirlpool manufactures a variety of refrigerators. Scratches can form on refrigerator surfaces, and a quick fix is desired over buying a new refrigerator because of a small appearance issue. You can repair scratches on a refrigerator with a few household items and minimal time.

Instructions

      Wet a clean sponge and apply a few drops of dish soap. Clean the scratched area of the refrigerator. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.

      Open appliance paint that matches the color of your refrigerator. Dip the included paintbrush and apply the paint onto the scratched surface. Allow the paint to dry for 1 hour.

      Open your appliance scratch-repair kit if the scratch is particularly deep. Squeeze the tube of scratch filler onto the surface of the scratch. Smooth it down with a putty knife. Allow the area to dry for two to three hours or according to your repair kit's instructions.

      Sand the scratch with fine-grit sandpaper if the dried surface is not level. Wipe the surface with a clean cloth.

      Paint the surface with the matching appliance paint. Allow the paint to dry for 1 hour before touching the area.
