Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the Hoover SteamVac and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Step on the release pedal and lower the handle to the floor.

    • 2

Remove the clean water tank and dirty water tank. Empty both tanks into a sink. Rinse both tanks in warm water. Rinse the tank lids in warm water. Put the tanks and tank lids aside and allow them to dry.

    • 3

Move the machine to a clean, hard floor surface. Debris such as carpet fiber can become lodged in the long, narrow nozzle, affecting the machine’s performance. Fill a pitcher with two cups of water. Plug the machine into an electrical outlet. Pick up the spilled water with the machine. Repeat the process until all debris is dislodged from inside the nozzle.

Turn over the machine so the brushes are facing up. Use one hand to grasp the middle of the brushes. Pull the brushes up until four latches are visible. Press all four latches on the top and bottom ends of the brush roller to remove it. Rinse the brush in warm water and remove debris attached to the brushes with your hands. Allow it to dry.

Reassemble the machine’s parts after they dry. Reattach the brushes. The brushes will snap back into the latches. Turn the vacuum face up. Step on the release pedal and lower the handle to the floor. Insert the clean and dirty water tanks and lids by locking them into position. Put the machine in its upright position.
