The vacuum attaches at several areas with electrical plugs. Check all of the connections for damage to the prongs, their casing and the electrical cord. If prongs are bent or missing or if the electrical cord is damaged, it stops the electrical supply to the power nozzle.
If there’s no damage to the electrical connection on the vacuum, ensure each connection is secured properly. The hose attaches to the canister and the power wand with latches. Ensure the hose is attached to the canister by unlatching and latching it again. Check the hose connection to the wand. Ensure the hose is latched and the wand plug is connected in its housing on the hose. Connect the power nozzle and wand using the electrical cord attached to the power nozzle. Connect the electrical cord to the housing on the wand.
The power nozzle is equipped with a circuit breaker, which stops the brushes from spinning if the power nozzle picks up any large objects. Turn the vacuum off and check the brush roll for any obstructions. Clear the obstructions. Reset the circuit breaker by pressing the button on the power nozzle. With the power nozzle, wand, hose and canister properly connected, turn on the vacuum on the canister, and turn on the power nozzle by pressing the “on” button, located on the top of the power nozzle. The power nozzle should spin after removing obstructions and resetting the circuit breaker.
Electrolux vacuums have a seven-year limited warranty on its canister and a five-year limited warranty on parts and accessories such as the power wand and other attachments. The warranty does not cover general wear and tear or improper maintenance. Maintain the vacuum by using the hose to vacuum the brushes after each use. Remove build-up such as hair and other obstructions from the brush roll. Change the bags and filters routinely. The air filter should be changed after each use and the vacuum bag should be changed when it’s full.
