How to Repair an Electrolux Bag

Electrolux has manufactured vacuums for more than 90 years along with other household appliances. The vacuum bag used with the Electrolux vacuum is a lightweight, paper material that rips easily when picking up debris such as paperclips, broken glass or heavy items. If the bag rips, an easy repair will fix the bag so you can continue vacuuming.

  Turn off the vacuum and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Find an area in the house that dust can quickly be clean up. The vacuum bag will release dust and particles during the process of fixing the hole.

  Unlatch the hose from the canister. Take the canister to the area of the house selected to fix the vacuum bag. Open the canister by unlatching it. Carefully remove the vacuum bag to avoid dust coming out of the bag and the canister.

  Cut a piece of electrical tape big enough to cover the hole on the bag. Firmly place the electrical tape over the hole.

  Put the vacuum bag back into the canister. Close the canister lid and latch it. Reassemble the hose and attachments for use.
