What Makes a Kenmore Electric Stove Spark?

Worn Element

• The most common reason for a Kenmore electric stove to spark is that the oven element is worn out. On average, oven elements last 20 years with regular use. As the element ages, the coil weakens and fissures start to form. The pits and breaks are no longer insulated, causing sparking.

Debris
