How to Release the Dirt Cup on a Shark Floor Sweeper

     Locate the dust cup release lever on the base of the sweeper and press it with your foot.

     Lift the dust cup off the sweeper base using the handle and hold it over a trash can.

     Press the empty button at the bottom of the pole to open the dust cup and empty the dirt into the trash can.

     Lower the dust cup over the base of the sweeper. Tip it forward slightly and press down until the dust cup snaps into place.
