Turn off your Admiral clothes dryer.
Grab the integrated handle on the lint trap cover on the top of the dryer cabinet. Pull the lint trap cover and its attached lint screen from the top of the dryer.
Clean the lint from the screen with your fingers. Clean the remaining laundry detergent and fabric softener residue from the screen with water and liquid dish-washing detergent. Use a nylon scrub brush to remove the residue. Dry the screen with a terrycloth towel. Allow the screen to continue to air-dry while you continue to clean the dryer's lint trap opening and vent outlet.
Insert a dryer vent brush into lint trap opening. Move the vent brush from side-to-side as you slide it from the top of the to the bottom.
Reach behind you dryer to remove the power cord from the electrical outlet. Slide the dryer forward until you can access the rear of the appliance.
Loosen the hose clamp holding the vent hose (duct) to the vent outlet at the rear of the dryer. Depending on the clamp style, you will loosen the clamp screw with a screwdriver or use your fingers to squeeze the two ends of the clamp together. Slide the clamp down the vent hose. Pull the hose off the vent outlet.
Insert the vent brush into the vent outlet in the back of the dryer. Brush the walls of the outlet tube to loosen and remove any stuck-on lint.
Attach the hose to your vacuum if applicable. Insert the hose into the dryer vent outlet and vacuum out any loose lint.
Reconnect the vent hose to the vent outlet. Slide the dryer back to its original position and plug the power cord into the wall.
Insert the lint trap screen with the attached cover into the opening on top of the dryer cabinet. Push the screen into the opening until the cover sits flush with the top of the cabinet.
