Stainless steel refrigerators complement a modern or contemporary design that features clean lines and pristine surfaces. This pristine aesthetic can be disturbed by stain or scuff marks on your stainless steel refrigerator, however. Prevent this by cleaning scuff marks as soon as you notice them, and save money by using products you may already have in your home.
Spray the scuff mark with glass cleaner.
Rub the glass cleaner into the stainless steel with a paper towel.
Dry the area with a microfiber cloth to prevent streaks from forming.
Mix 3 drops of liquid dish soap with 1 cup of hot water.
Dip a sponge into the solution, and scrub it over the scuff mark until it is gone.
Rinse the area with clear water.
Dry the area completely with a clean cloth to prevent water marks from forming on the stainless steel.
Apply a quarter-sized drop of baby oil in a cloth.
Rub the cloth over the scuff mark until it is gone.
Rub the area with a microfiber cloth along the stainless steel grain to blend the oil spot in with the rest of the refrigerator.
Soak a clean cloth in white vinegar.
Wring out the white vinegar so the cloth is wet but not dripping.
Rub the stainless steel scuff mark with the white vinegar until it is gone. Continue rubbing until you blend the area completely.
