Removing Grease From a Stainless Steel Stove

Stainless steel stoves are popular because of their attractive appearance and the fact that they are easy to clean. Frying foods on the stove usually leaves grease on your stove top. If your stainless steel stove has greasy residue, remedy this problem by using inexpensive household cleaning products.

  • Spray bottle
  • White vinegar
  • Cloths
  • Baking soda

Instructions

      Remove the burners and drip pans from your stove if it has these features. Place the burners and drip pans in a sink filled with equal parts hot water and white vinegar. Let these items soak for at least 20 minutes.

      Pour hot water and white vinegar into a spray bottle, and spray your stove with the solution.

      Wet a cloth with white vinegar, and squirt a few drops of liquid dish soap onto the cloth. Use it to wipe off the stove top.

      Sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda onto any greasy areas that might also contain burned food. Scrub away these spots with a damp, soapy cloth.

      Rinse the stove top with a clean, damp cloth. Dry the stove with a lint-free cloth.

      Squirt a few drops of liquid dish soap onto your cleaning cloth, and use it to scrub the burners and drip pans. Rinse these items and dry them before returning them to the stove.
