As attractive as the appliances look, they can be difficult to keep streak- and spot-free. Fingerprints show up easily on stainless steel, as do streaks and other marks. Spray glass cleaner directly onto the streaks. Rub a soft, clean cloth over the appliance, working in same direction as the stainless-steel grain -- the small lines in the surface -- to dry remove the streaks and dry the surface.
Dip a soft cloth into club soda to remove any streaks the glass cleaner left behind. Work the club soda into the stainless steel gently and dry with another cloth.
Rub the streak-free stainless steel with a cloth dipped into baby or vegetable oil to make the appliance shine.
Buff the oil off of the stainless steel appliance with a dry paper towel to polish.
