The condenser coils on your Frigidaire refrigerator can trap dirt, dust and pet hair that can affect the performance of your refrigerator. The condenser coils dissipate heat from the refrigerant, but dirty coils can prevent this from occurring. Clean your Frigidaire refrigerator coils at least once a year to prevent overheating, excess power usage and failure of the cooling system. Regular maintenance and cleaning can keep your Frigidaire refrigerator cool and working efficiently.
Unplug the refrigerator.
Locate and remove the grille cover from the bottom of the refrigerator.
Pull lint, dust, dirt and pet hair off of the coils with the coil brush. Use a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle attachment to vacuum any remaining dust on the coils.
Replace the grille on the refrigerator and plug it in.
