How to Unlock a Sentry 1100 Safe

The Sentry model 1100 fire safe is a compact, fireproof chest that is designed for holding documents and other small items. The key lock prevents the safe from opening during a fire. Opening the safe requires certain procedures to be followed in addition to just inserting and turning the key. The safe will not open unless the proper sequence of events takes place.

     Insert the key into the lock.

     Turn the key counterclockwise one quarter turn.

   • 3

     Push down on the top of the safe while pushing the latch in to release it. Lift the lid to open.
