How do I Reset a Brinks 5112D Electronic Safe?

The Brinks model 5112D is an electronic wall safe designed for home or office installation. When the safe is newly installed, it uses a factory-set passcode. The factory-set passcode is not unique to each safe, so it is not a secure code. Brinks recommends resetting this passcode as soon as possible to something that is more secure. Once a personal passcode is assigned, the factory code will no longer work to open the safe. The passcode can be changed at any time, and as often as needed.
