How to Reset the Brinks Password

Brinks home security safes come with a digital lock. Before you can reset the password, you must unlock and open the safe. For security purposes, all safes require a password. If you're using the safe for the first time, the factory assigned password is printed inside the user's manual. Once you reset the password, the old combination will not work. Make sure you write down the password in a safe place in case you forget it.

  Type in the security password on the digital keypad and open the safe.

  Press the small red memory button on the inside of the safe. It's located on the edge of the lock cover. The keypad will beep two times and the yellow light will start blinking indicating the password can be reset.

  Type in a new password using the digital keypad on the front of the safe. All pass codes need to be between three to eight numbers, with no letters.

  Press the "B" key on the keypad. The keypad will beep twice and the yellow light will start flashing again.
