How to Replace Batteries in a Sentry Safe

Sentry safes with electric locks require batteries. All other Sentry safes require just a key to unlock. If the batteries die, you will have to replace them before you can use the electronic lock to open the safe. Sentry safes use four standard AA alkaline batteries. The batteries are housed on the outside of the safe. If they die, you can open the safe by using the key that came with it and the preprogrammed number dial combination to unlock and open the safe. The combination is printed on the front of the safe's manual. Removing and replacing the batteries is the same for all electronic Sentry safe locks.
