How to Set the Combination on a Diebold Lock

Open the locked door using the factory set or current combination. The factory set combination for a single Diebold electronic lock is "123456"; for a dual lock the first lock is "123456" and the second lock is "654321". Enter the combination into the Diebold keypad, listening for two beeps from the lock to indicate a correct combination entry. The lock beeps three times if the combination entered is incorrect. Open the door with the correct entry or wait 10 seconds after the incorrect entry to try again.

Enter the code "000000" and wait for the lock to beep twice.

Enter the current combination a second time and wait for the dual beep.

Enter the new six-digit combination and wait for the lock to beep twice in acknowledgment. Reenter the same code for combination verification and listen for the dual beep. Wait 10 seconds for the lock to accept the new code. Entering a wrong verification code leaves the original code in place, resulting in three beeps from the lock, and requires that you begin the new code entry again at the "000000" code step. Use the same process for setting the second lock in a dual-lock system.

Test the new code before closing the door by entering the code into the lock and listening for the two beeps of verification. Close the door and use the lock normally.
