How to Decorate Megaphones

Tape letter stencils onto the megaphone so they spell out the name of your favorite player, the team or the mascot. Short names can go around the mouth of the megaphone, while longer names can go down the side of the megaphone. Use a ruler as a straight edge if you have trouble keeping the letters level.

Paint the letter stencils in with a paint pen. The paint pens are easier to control then paintbrushes and less messy. Use paint pens in the team's colors. Let the paint dry overnight and remove the stencils.

Find a stencil of the mascot of the team for which you are rooting and tape it above the name you already painted. Paint the mascot in with paint pens in the correct colors. Let the paint dry overnight and remove the stencils.

Apply strips of electrical tape to the megaphone, in the team's colors, if you do not want to paint anything. Wrap the strips around the megaphone in bands or stick them down the length of the megaphone in rays.
