How to Change the Combination on a Brink's Electronic Safe

Brink's electronic safes for homes and hotel rooms are now rebranded under the Honeywell name. Routinely changing any safe's pass code can help diminish the possibility of burglary or entry from unwanted users. Fortunately, it's easy to reprogram the safe. All it takes is the old pass code and about 30 seconds.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter the current pass code and open the safe.

    • 2

Locate and depress the small red "memory" button on the inside of the door, near the edge of the locking mechanism. Hold down the red button until the keypad beeps twice and the yellow LED illuminates.

    • 3

Enter a new pass code, which can be between 3 and 8 digits, then press the "B" key. Leave the door open before proceeding.

    • 4

Push down on the lock while leaving the door open. Hold the lock down for about three seconds, until the door automatically locks. Be sure to keep the door open throughout this step.

    • 5

Enter the new pass code, followed by the letter "A," and the electronic lock should click open.
