How to Open Liberty Safes

Obtaining a Liberty safety deposit box is extremely useful because you will have a secure place to store your most valuable items, like jewelry and even cash. Liberty provides its customers with safes that are extremely well protected. There are primarily three ways to open them. The three methods are manual, electronic motorized and direct electronic drive locks.

Instructions

  1. Direct Electronic Drive Locks

    • 1

Bring the handle of the drive directly within the two stop points. This is important because the safe will not open unless the handle has been centered properly.

    • 2

Move the keypad in a counterclockwise direction. Keep moving until you cannot turn any further.

    • 3

Type in the six-digit keypad combination that you were provided upon registering and opening your Liberty safe. After entering the combination, press the pound key in a timely fashion.

    • 4

Move the keypad in a clockwise direction and keep turning until it stops. Now you can open your safe.

    Motorized Electronic Locks

    • 5

Bring the handle of the safe exactly between the right and left stop points that have been denoted on the safe. This is a pre-requisite to opening your safe.

    • 6

Feed in the combination to your safe using the keypad. This will be a six-digit combination and each time you press a key, the red LED indicator light on the keypad will light up. You will also hear a twittering sound each time you press keys on the pad. After completing the combination, press the pound key.

    • 7

Listen for the sound of the lock withdrawing from its place. Once the noise stops, you will have six seconds to open the safe. If you fail to open it within this time limit, the safe will automatically lock which means that you will have to go through the entire process again.

    Manually Operated Locks

    • 8

Align the arrow symbol on the outer border of the dial to the top of the dial itself. Ensure that such an arrangement exists before beginning, otherwise the lock will not open.

    • 9

Place your hand on the dial then turn it on the left side at least four times before setting it exactly on the first digit of your combination.

    • 10

Place your hand again on the dial and turn it towards the right side at least three times before settling on the second number of your safe combination.

    • 11

Move the dial left this time about two times completely before setting it on the third digit of your combination.

    • 12

Place your hand on the dial for the final time and turn it towards the left side until you cannot turn it any further. Normally, the dial will stop at around about 87. Now you can open your safe.
