Instructions

    • 1

Clean out and locate a preferred secure location in your garage for your home safe. You will need a bare patch of concrete that's smooth and flat. Sweep up any dirt and scrape off anything stuck to the floor.

    • 2

Open your safe and find the mounting holes inside. Normally, fireproof safes will have one mounting hole in the center floor panel. Others may have a mounting hole for each of the four corners. Mark their locations with the felt marker using the holes as a template. Move the safe out of the way when you're done.

    • 3

Drill out the marks in the concrete with a concrete drill that's the size of the mounting bolts that came with your home safe. Vacuum all the dust and dirt left behind.

Place the safe so the mounting holes align with the holes you drilled. Thread the mounting bolt through the hole or holes in the safe and into the holes you made. Mounting bolts are anchor type bolts so you will have to sink them in with a hammer. Slip on the bolt nut and tighten down with a wrench until the home safe is securely in place.
