How to Open a Star Safe

Bypassing the Batteries

  Install four new AA batteries in the Power Override Box that came with the safe.

  Plug in the Power Override jack. The jack should be attached to the box. Plug it into the port at the bottom of the number keypad.

  Press the # key. Input the combination, if known. If not, input the factory default: 1-2-3-4.

  Press the # key. The safe should open.

Use the Round Key

  Remove the small door panel between the digital keypad and the turning knob.

• 5

  Look behind the panel for a round key hole. Each safe comes with two round keys for emergency opening of the safe.

• 6

  Use one of the round keys to open the safe.
