Move the handle on your Sentry combination safe into the horizontal position if necessary. If your safe opens with a key and combination, insert the key into the keyhole and turn it as far as possible.
Align "0" on the dial under the pointer -- the 12 o'clock position.
Turn the dial three full revolutions left and stop with the first number of your combination under the pointer.
Move the dial right so the second number of your combination bypasses the pointer. Keep dialing one full revolution and stop with the second number under the pointer.
Rotate the dial left and stop as soon as the third number of your combination lines up under the pointer.
Pull the handle down to open the door.
Check that the handle rests horizontally. If your safe opens with a key and combination, insert the key into the keyhole and turn it as far as possible.
Align "0" on the dial under the pointer -- the 12 o'clock position.
Turn the dial four full revolutions left and stop with the first number of your combination under the pointer.
Move the dial right so the second number of your combination bypasses the pointer twice. Dial one more full revolution and stop with the second number under the pointer.
Rotate the dial left two full revolutions -- stopping with the third number of your combination under the pointer.
Reverse the dial direction and stop as soon as the fourth number of your combination lines up under the pointer.
Open the safe.
Check that the handle rests in the horizontal position. Grip it with one hand.
Enter your combination via the keypad with your other hand. If you have a Sentry safe with an Advanced Electronic Lock, push a command key such as "Prog/Enter" to finalize the unlocking procedure. Wait for the LED(s) to turn green or an unlocked padlock icon to appear on the display.
Pull the handle down to open the door.
