# How to Get the CBS Code for Lockbox
The CBS code system enables the homeowner to enter his home by using a "call before showing" or CBS code for a specific lockbox. Each lockbox has a unique CBS code programmed before you purchase the lockbox and the listing agent has possession of the code when purchase of the lockbox is complete. The lockbox system only works if your listing agent knows the code and releases it to you when you request it. If you cannot remember the CBS code for lockbox, you have a couple of options to get the CBS code.

Turn on your phone with the eKEY application.

Navigate to the eKEY application and then press "Manage Keyboxes."

Find the lockbox serial number and then click it.

Click "Edit" and then check the "Required to Obtain Key" box. Your CBS code for your lockbox will display on your phone.

Call the KIMVoice customer service at 888-968-4032.

Press "2" on your phone to select option 2.

Enter your lockbox serial number and its shackle code on your keypad. You will get the 7-digit CBS code for lockbox over the phone.
