Remove the plastic cover from the override key slot to the bottom right of the keypad.
Insert the override key and rotate it clockwise to unlock the safe.
Open the door to the safe. While the safe door is open, the override key cannot be removed.
Locate the AA battery compartment located on the inside of the safe door and remove the cover.
Install the included four AA batteries in the battery compartment.
Replace the cover on the battery compartment.
Turn the override key counter clockwise to set the door bolts into the locked position. Remove the key and store it in a safe place. Do not store the key inside the safe.
Enter "1-5-9" on the digital keypad. This is the default factory security pass code.
Press the "Lock" key on the keyboard. The door bolts should retract into the unlocked position.
Hold the safe door in the closed position.
Enter a three to six digit pass code on the keypad then press the "Lock" key.
Verify that the motorized lock has locked the door and that the LED screen displays "Closed" for three seconds.
Enter the pass code on the keypad then press the "Lock" key.
Wait for the LCD screen to display "Opened" then open the safe door.
Press the "Clear" key if you press a wrong key while entering the pass code and start over.
