# How to Set the Time Lock on a Mosler Safe
The Mosler Safe Company has designed and manufactured a number of safes and vaults during the company's extensive history. Although Mosler went bankrupt in 2001, Diebold purchased the company and still sells Mosler products. Time locks were designed on safes in order to prevent burglary and internal thefts. With a time lock, the safe or vault can only be opened at a specific time even if the combination is known. Setting your time lock will vary depending on the model of your Mosler.

Follow the instruction manual for your Mosler safe. The way the time lock is set will depend on whether it is digital or manual.

Contact the Mosler Company if you no longer have a manual for your safe. You can email the company at [email protected].

Enter an exact time frame, or the total amount of hours you want the safe open, into the digital keypad or using the manual dial. Keep in mind that Mosler safes use military time.

Call a locksmith if you are still unable to set the time lock on your Mosler safe. Most locksmiths are familiar with Mosler and will be able to help you set the time lock.
