# How to Reset a Master Code on a GE Concord Alarm Panel
The GE Concord alarm system requires a system master code for control of many settings. The default master code is given to the homeowner when the system is installed. You can change the code if you feel it has been compromised or to increase the security of your system.

Press "9" and enter the current system master code to access the programming menu on the Concord alarm panel.

Push and hold "B" until the display reads "User Codes." Press "#." The display will read "Regular User Codes" or "Reg Codes."

Press "B" repeatedly until "System Master Code" or "Sys Master" appears on the display, then press "#."

Enter your new four-digit system master code and press "#."

Exit the programming menu by pressing "*," "00," "#."
