# How to Cancel Brinks Monitoring

If you are a customer of Brink's Home Security, now known as Broadview Security, and you have decided to cancel your coverage, you must follow a certain procedure to avoid any penalties.

Review your service contract and observe the date that the contract ends. This will be referenced as the expiration or termination date. This is important because you must cancel your service before this date to avoid the automatic renewal of your contract.

Call 1-800-445-0872 between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM (regardless of time zone) Monday through Friday. Enter the phone number of the residence where the alarm is located. Press option "4" on the automated menu to discontinue the service.

You will be connected to a representative. Give them all of the requested information to cancel your account.
