Install the Swann camera(s) in the desired location around the home or office. These may be interior or exterior installations.
Decide how to power the camera. Some Swann models have the ability to function on a single 9-volt battery or with the included AC adapter. Some owners choose to use the AC adapter for the main power and the battery for backup purposes. Your choice will depend on the individual installation requirements.
Connect wired Swann night cameras to the desired video receiver using the supplied video cable. Swann cameras can be connected directly to TVs, DVRs or VCRs. Plug the video camera cable from the camera into an open video input port on the destination device. Turn on the camera.
Connect wireless Swann cameras to the desired video receiver via the signal receiver included with the camera kit. The signal receiver can be connected to the same devices using the same procedure described in the previous step. Turn on the receiver after it has been attached to the desired video receiver and turn on the camera to complete the connection.
Turn on the TV and select the proper input channel to see the video feed from the Swann camera. press the "Input" button on the video receiver's remote control or on the device itself. For example, if the camera or the signal receiver is connected directly to the TV via video input 1, then push the input, source, A/V, TV/A/V button on the remote control until the video feed is seen onscreen.
