How to Change the Master Code on an Ademco 4100 Alarm

The Ademco 4100 alarm stores up to 19 different user codes, including the master code. Users are identified in the alarm system by a two-digit code. The master code is set by your installer. Users with the two-digit codes "01" and "02" are the only ones who can change the code. Homeowners should never give out the master code of their alarm system, since each user in the home receives a unique entry code. To increase security, it is a good idea to change the master code periodically. You need to know the existing master code to change the master code on the Ademco 4100 alarm.
