How do I Program Ademco 5804BDV Remotes?

Having wireless access to your home's security system can allow you to easily call for help if needed. Ademco, now a part of Honeywell Security, created the 5804BDV Remote that states that system's status verbally. The buttons on the remote are customizable to allow you to select the most important functions for you. The remotes make home security easy. If the remote looses the house ID, it can be simply programmed to work with the security system.

Hold down the "A", "B" and "C" buttons on the wireless remote all together until the red and green lights are alternately flashing.

    • 2

Input the House ID. Use the "A" to put in the first digit, "B" the second digit and so on. For example, if the house ID is "36", push the "A" button three times, and then the "B" six times. If the number falls outside the acceptable range, the remote will discard the entry.

Press the "D" button to submit the house ID. If accepted, the LEDs will flash indicating the number input. For example if the ID is "14", the left LED will flash one time and the right will flash four times. This allows you to confirm the entry. If flashes are incorrect, reprogram the device again.
