How to Reset an Ademco Security Alarm System

The Ademco security alarm system features a master code, which is what you put into the system's panel when you want to do things like change the system settings or turn the system on or off. Resetting the master code on an Ademco system allows you to ensure that your system remains safe -- particularly if you fear someone that should not have it has gained access to the system.

     Enter the Ademco security system's current four-key code into the keypad.

     Press "8."

   • 3

     Press "02."

   • 4

     Enter the new master code.

   • 5

     Type the new master code again to verify it.
