How to Reset the Ademco 4110XM Alarm System

The Ademco 4110XM Alarm System, made by Honeywell, has six zones that you program to provide protection in case of burglary, fire or other emergency. When it's programmed to detect intruders, you can set it to give yourself up to 90 seconds to enter your password when you arrive home before the alarm goes off. There are two reset options for the Ademco 4110XM. You can reset the memory to clear an alarm, and you can reset a user code.

Instructions

  1. Clearing an Alarm

    • 1

Type in your security code using the keypad on the front of the Ademco 4110XM when an alarm has gone off that you want to clear from the system's memory. For example, the smoke alarm may go off if you burn dinner in the kitchen. Until you clear the alarm from memory, the display will have a message reading "Fire."

    • 2

      Press the "Off" key.

    • 3

Type in your security code once more, and then press the "Off" key once more. The alarm will reset its memory, clearing the code.

    Resetting a User Code

    • 4

Type in your master code, and then press the "Code" button when you want to reset a secondary user's code. The system supports codes for one master user and six secondary users for different people to use, such as members of your family, guests or workers from a cleaning service.

    • 5

Type in the single-digit user number, either "2," "3," "4," "5," "6" or "7," for the user whose code you want to reset.

    • 6

Type in a new four-digit code for the user. The alarm's keypad will beep once to confirm the change.
