Hire a professional DSC installer. The DSC Power 832 alarm system comes with a control panel, keypads, sensors and detectors. Only the licensed DSC security professional is qualified to correctly install or repair the system.
Know your access codes. The DSC alarm system has 37 codes comprising of a master code, 2 partition master codes, 2 duress codes and 32 regular access codes. According to the DSC installer, access codes can number either 4 or 6 digits. For incorrect codes, buzzers sound and you would have to re-enter access codes. When the correct code is inserted, the keypad alert will go off and the alarm's armed light will brighten.
Familiarize yourself with the alarming modes. These are "Away" arming, "Audible exit fault", "Stay" arming, "Quick arm" and "Arming without entry delay". You can arm the system by using one of the LED or LCD keypads.
Close in all windows and doors to arm the alarm system. If the ready light is switched on, it means that the windows and doors are closed and the alarm system is ready to be set. Punch in your access codes. If you have chosen, alarm systems with motion sensor zones, ensure that no movement occurs there.
Disarm the system by entering the designated entrance and punching in your personalized access code.
