How to Unlock an Ademco Alarm Control

The Ademco alarm control panel is the device typically installed on a wall near a main door in the home. Homeowners use this control panel to access the security system and make changes to it. The panel is designed not to allow just anybody to be able to access it. The control panel remains locked to anybody who does not have access to the home's master security code.

     Lift the control panel's cover to expose the keypad.

     Type the four-digit master code into the control panel's keypad. The master code is the number the installer programmed into the system -- with your input -- when he installed the system.

     Press the "8" key. Your Ademco alarm control panel should unlock.
