Instructions

    • 1

Contact the company that the home security alarm system contacts when triggered if this option has been enabled and cancel your service.

    • 2

Unplug the power cord from the control panel that all of the sensors report to. The control panel is usually kept in an out-of-the-way location, such as a closet. Disconnect all of the cables that are either plugged into or screwed into the control panel. Remove the screws surrounding the control panel with the Phillips screwdriver if it is attached to the wall. Pull the control panel off the wall.

    • 3

Place a ladder against the outside wall or on the balcony so that you can climb up to reach the alarm bell that is located there.

    • 4

Remove the hex bolts from around the alarm bell with a hex driver. Pull the alarm bell off the wall plate. Cut off the wires connected to the alarm bell with wire cutters.

    • 5

Remove the wood screws from the alarm plate with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the alarm plate off the wall.

    • 6

Remove the screws from the window and door sensor plates with the Phillips screwdriver--the sensor plates will be on the bottom of the windows and the top of the windowsill, the edges of the doors and the section of the door frame facing the door's edge.

    • 7

Cut off the wires connected to the sensor plates with the wire cutters.
