# How to Change the Access Code in a Nutech Home Alarm System
NuTech is a burglar, fire and home security alarm system manufacturer based in Maitland, Florida. The company makes a range of home security systems to keep your home and contents safe from intruders. You might want to change your NuTech home alarm access code if you suspect your code might be known by people outside your family. Changing the code on your NuTech alarm is uncomplicated and will only take a few seconds.

Make sure the system is disarmed. Press "9" to enter the "Program" menu.

Enter your 5-digit master alarm code. All lights on the control panel will blink.

Press the number of the access code you want to change then the "#" key. NuTech alarm systems can hold up to nine access codes for various family members. For example, press "1" then "#."

Enter a new 5 digit code. If you want to use a shorter code, add enough zeros to the end to make it 5 digits long. These extra zeros will not be included in your code. For example "76" would be entered as "76000."

Wait as the alarm system exits programming mode. The code is now ready to use.
