Fire-Lite Troubleshooting

Fire-Lite alarms warn people in the event of a fire. Homes and businesses rely on the Fire-Lite alarm to detect fire or smoke and save lives. The Fire-Lite alarm flashes LED lights and emits a piercing sound when a fire is detected. Troubleshoot your Fire-Lite alarm to ensure that this lifesaving equipment is working properly. Troubleshooting allows you to evaluate the Fire-Lite alarm for any functioning errors within the system.

      Examine the batteries for the Fire-Lite alarm. Unscrew the battery case on the back of the Fire-Lite alarm with the Phillips screwdriver. The batteries should not be damaged or expired.

      Remove extra Fire-Lite alarms from the same room. Multiple alarms in one room can cause system malfunctions. Remove the Fire-Lite alarm by unscrewing it from its mounting bracket.

      Push the disable and reset switches down to activate the switches. The disable and reset switches are on the left side of the Fire-Lite alarm. Grasp each switch in turn and push it down. This action should cause LED lights to flash and activate the smoke alarm. If the alarm fails to activate, replace the batteries. If the alarm still won't work, replace it.
