How to Terminate ADT Service

If you have an ADT alarm system installed in your home, you may have it monitored by ADT. This means that if your alarm goes off, someone at ADT alerts the police if you can't be reached. If you're selling your home or for some other reason no longer want your alarm system monitored, simply contact ADT by phone. You'll first encounter an automated answering system, and then you'll be able to tell a representative that you want to cancel your monitoring service.

     Call the ADT National Marketing Center for Relocation customer support at 1-800-600-5145. Listen to the various options.

     Press "1" on your touch-tone phone for "Home Security Systems."

   • 3

     Press "4" when prompted to switch to the department that handles relocations and cancellations.

     Notify the ADT representative that you want to cancel your alarm monitoring service.
