Unscrew the floodlight from the bulb socket on the front of the motion light module. Place the floodlight aside.
Remove the screws with a Phillips screwdriver from each end of the control cover lid on the motion light's module. Depending on the made of the motion light, you may only see one screw that you will remove with a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver.
Pull the control cover lid off the motion light module and place it aside.
Insert the tip of a flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver into the slot at the center of the round wheel labeled "House Code." Rotate the wheel to another setting so that a control panel connected to the motion light can no longer control its settings.
Rotate the "Sensitivity" or "Range" knob (depending on the make of the motion light) counterclockwise until it stops. The knob is labeled so you can find it.
Insert the tip of the flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver into the slot on the click-wheel labeled "Timer" or "Delay" (depending on the make of the motion light). Rotate the click-wheel counterclockwise until it can no longer be moved.
Insert the tip of the flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver into the slot on the click-wheel labeled "Dusk" or "Time/Day" (depending on the make of the motion light). Rotate the click-wheel counterclockwise until it can no longer be moved.
Slide the selection switch to "Dusk" or "Time/Day" (depending on the make of the motion light). Place the control lid cover back on and reattach the screws. Screw in the floodlight.
