Attach a wire to the positive end of a 9 volt battery clamp. Attach the other end of this wire to the positive terminal of a Polyblock. Repeat this process with a separate wire, this time attaching the negative end of the 9 volt battery clamp and the negative terminal on the Polyblock.
Connect the PIR sensor with the Polyblock. Three wires come out of the PIR sensor -- a red one, a black one, and a yellow one. Attach the red wire to the 5 volt terminal on the Polyblock, the black wire to the 0 volt terminal and the yellow wire to input 2.
Push the "Function" switch located on your Polyblock until it is at the 0010 marking. If you don't do this, once your motion sensor is triggered it won't reset. However, at the 0010 setting, your motion detector automatically resets itself, allowing it to be triggered over and over again.
Attach a wire to the Polyblock's V+ connector. Attach the other end of this wire to the positive clamp on your 9 volt light.
Attach a wire to the Polyblock's V- connector. Attach the other end of this wire to the negative clamp on your 9 volt light.
Power on your motion sensor by connecting the 9 volt battery clip with the battery. When something moves in the area, your powerful motion detector's light will turn on, alerting you.
