Honeywell Home Security 4110Xm User Guide

A security system protects your home from dangerous situations, including break-ins and fires. Honeywell produces the 4110XM control panel security system, which is an entry-level device for budget-conscious homeowners. This device monitors your home, and it includes smoke detectors and a panic zone. You can purchase Honeywell products from authorized dealers.
  1. Features

    • The 4110XM comes with three keypad zones, which you can use to activate the panic mode. It also has six programmable zones that allow you to individually program different areas of your home. For example, you can designate one area of your home to only go off in the case of a fire, or you can program it to just go off in case of a break-in. You can also program a zone for both fire and burglary. The available zones include: fire, interior follower, day/night alarm, entry/exit, silent or audible panic, without timeout and 24-hour auxiliary. You can convert Zone 5 into just fire monitoring and connect smoke detectors to it. A test mode is also available to determine if the system is working properly.

    Specifications

    • This system uses a 16.5-volt alternating current, 25-volt amp transformer, and a 500 milliampere, 12-volt direct auxiliary current. It has a total standby time of seven hours. The keypad is available only in English, and is either on the front of the unit or within a flip-down door. You can remove the flip-down door to more easily access the keypad. The keypad includes commands such as "Stay", "Away", "Ready" and "Not Ready." The "Away" command means that both the interior and exterior of the house are monitored while the "Stay" command just monitors the perimeter.

    Communication

    • The 4110XM security device communicates in different ways. For example, if the battery is low (between 11.2 and 11.6 volts), then the system sounds an alarm. You can also set up the system to alert you to run monthly, daily or weekly tests. The system calls you or another programmed number in case of an emergency, and you can program up to two numbers into the system. It will make eight attempts per phone number to reach someone. You must input your 10-digit phone number as well as the 4-digital PABX code for your region.

    Considerations/Warranty

    • Honeywell warns that this system may not prevent intruders from breaking into your home. They can bypass the system or enter through an unprotected entrance. If your power is cut or goes off, the system also will not work. You may not be able to reach the panic button, or the wireless system may be blocked by metal or reflected. You receive a one-year limited warranty on this system.
