How to Change the Alarm for a DSC PC1808

The DSC PC1808 is a home alarm system equipped with motion detectors and entry sensors. You can choose to have the system installed with one central keypad or multiple keypads throughout the home to ensure easy and quick access. The alarm has the ability to change alarm settings with the touch of a key or two. It's important to learn how to change from setting to setting to ensure no false alarms are initiated and your house stays properly protected.

      Arm the alarm by pressing the "Away" key for two seconds. Enter your access code and press the asterisk button. The armed and ready indicators will illuminate. The armed indicator looks like a small lock and the ready indicator is a check mark.

      Disarm the system when you enter the premises. Enter your sequence code; the illuminated armed light will now go off showing the system is disarmed.

      Change the alarm to the partially armed setting. This setting will disarm the motion sensors but keep the doors and windows armed. Press and hold the "Stay" key for two seconds and then enter your access code. The system will beep to signal the code was accepted. The "Armed" and "Bypass" indicators will be illuminated on the keypad screen. This shows that the system is armed however certain aspects are bypassed.

      Change from the "Stay" partially armed mode to the "Night" mode by pressing asterisk and then the number one. This will automatically fully arm the system. Disarm the system at anytime from any installed keypad by entering your private sequence code.
