Place the video camera so that it overlooks an area to watch remotely. For example, this could be a door to an attached garage or a window with an open patio on the other side. Rotate the camera so that the lens faces the direction of where it will conduct surveillance.
Plug the power cord into the camera's power port. Insert the AC cord from the power supply into a wall outlet. Use an extension cord between the AC cord and outlet, if necessary.
Insert one end of an ethernet cable into the ethernet port on the back of the camera. Insert the other end into the ethernet port on the power plug adapter. Plug the transmitter power plug adapter into an outlet for power.
Plug the receiver power plug adapter into a wall outlet next to the router of your wireless or wired home network. Insert one end of an ethernet cable into the ethernet port on the adapter. Insert the other end of the ethernet cable into an ethernet port on the router.
Insert the Logitech installation disc into the slot or tray of your computer. Close the tray.
Enter the requested information in the text fields of the installation program when it appears on the computer's screen. Continue entering information until the program says it is done and quits.
Restart the computer. Launch the Logitech program from the computer menu. Enter any information requested by the program in the appropriate text fields as it configures itself for the computer. Press the icon to bring up a video window on the screen. Press the icon of the video camera to bring up video in the video window from the camera.
