How to Reset 'Safe House' Alarms

Safe House brand alarms were manufactured by Radio Shack to provide home security and an alarm in the event if a break-in. Safely resetting your Safe House alarm once you enter your property is vital in ensuring the alarm isn't accidentally triggered. Safe House alarms are designed to be reset by the property's owner once they arrive inside. Some Safe House alarms need a key to deactivate while others require the property owner to enter a security code into the control panel.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter your property as normal and proceed directly to the alarm's control panel or locate your alarm's remote control.

    • 2

Enter your disarm code using the control panel's number keys, turn your alarm key in the lock until it points to "DISARM" or press the "DISARM" button on your remote control.

    • 3

Wait a moment as the alarm resets. The status indicator light on the control panel turns from red to green when the system resets safely. The alarm falls silent if it was already triggered.
